With the school year fast approaching, Alpha Omicron Pi begins to prepare for one of our most anticipated events of the year! The 3rd annual Gamecocks Give Back(Pack) event will be on August 12, 2018 at 4 pm and is sure to bring fun!
We are so excited to team up Gamecock football and Coach John Grass for the 3rd time to collect school supplies for children across Calhoun County. With the help of the JSU football program, this event is always a huge success, and we are expecting this year to be our biggest one yet!
Hannah Blue, AOII’s philanthropy chair, has planned this year’s event and is so excited to be able to give back to the community. Last year, Hannah assisted in overseeing this event and with the help of the rest of the chapter and the JSU football team, she contributed to donating over 250 backpacks to young students. Hannah says she hopes that this year’s Gamecocks Give Back(Pack) is able to have even more success!
A Community drop-off event will be held on July 27th from 5-7 pm on the Jacksonville Square to help get everyone involved! Here, members of the community, JSU students, family, and friends are invited to bring any donations and learn more about the upcoming event! Both school supplies and monetary donations will be accepted. Nothing is too small!
This year, we plan to pack over 300 backpacks full of supplies. AOII will be delivering these donations to every elementary school in Calhoun County on August 14. Our goal is that no child in Calhoun County go back to school without a backpack full of new school supplies! We are so excited to kick off Gamecocks Give Back(Pack) 2018, and we appreciate all of your support!
